I have a place in Hollywood now so whenever I am out there and can surface for air, we should go out for some grub and check out all the little hotties cruisin' around, eh? Days whiz by with no time to spare. I've known you for a breath in your life, but I feel like I've known you all of mine. I'm not one for celebrating birthdays, alles gute zum geburtstag!
We could have got the biggest, sissified-without-being-too-sissy birthday card we could find (pink with silver edging and "Happy Birthday" written in huge purple calligraphy with a sappy little poem on the inside -- Cream Puff, you make the world go round) kind of thing. But I'm sure posting a blog is a lot less abusive.

Happy Birthday, John! Can you believe it's been 28 years since those days in Berkeley? We've shared a lot of great experiences - node programming in FORTH, the US Festival, DJing at the Crystal Ball, Galactic Hacker's party, exploring E. Berlin before the fall, cruizing Heidelberg with the Chaos Computer Club, 3220 events, 9n instructions, Mondo parties, beach house gatherings, etc., etc..
Thanks for being in my life for all these years and I deeply value you as a friend. May the party continue!
